There is definitely a reason why the phrase there is nothing better than a home cooked meal and why it is so authentic. Notice the word HOME in the beginning of this phrase. There is something about being at home which allows you to enjoy the perks of getting a home cooked meal. A home cooked meal comes with so much not only lots of love, but presentation, and ingredients you may not find by being outside of your residence. Taking full advantage of a good home cooked meal are one of the many things being at home makes worth wild.

Another great thing about being home is that your neighbors, and local shops show you so much love. You can always run into a familiar face. The neighborhood in which you live when you are home sometimes can feel like a big extended family. Everyone is able to help each other. There is no problem to big or small that being at home in a great neighborhood can’t fix. Same goes for the local shops that you visit. Everyone knows everyone from the cashiers to the stock room employees, and lets not forget about the familiar face that pops up you never thought you may see. These key elements make being at home exciting, and serve as a great way to keep lines of communication open with people while networking.

Everyone has those friends they adore, and love, but it’s something about hometown friends that just make those memories worth revisiting. Most of these friends can be from your old high school, or can even go as far back as childhood kindergarten friends. Either way this yet another benefit of being at home. Reacquainting with key people from the past can be so beneficial to ones individual growth.

You are indeed the most comfortable at home and in most cases you have your own room. It may be your childhood room or a private room you call your own, either way you are comfortable to be free and who you truly are. You don’t have to worry about someone else interrupting you or telling you how to keep your room. You have the luxury of doing what you want in that space.

The convenience of having certain amenities like owning a washing machine and dryer is a major plus. You don’t have to worry about packing up your car, driving to the laundry mat, or having to worry about other people’s clothes getting mixed up with yours. One of the best things about being at a home that is uniquely setup for self sufficiency is realizing there is no need to leave other than for the obvious reasons. A simple task like washing, and drying clothes begins to become a joy instead of a chore when you realize it is all within arms reach.

When you are home you have the opportunity to entertain yourself rather than going out to the movies and spending money. You can obtain cable television, and get a plethora amount of channels, or even rent movies from the privacy of your own home. A good movie night always wins over anything outside of the home because you can customize every aspect of that entertaining night to your liking.

When you are at home, and you have no obligations waking up early does not cross your mind. You can sleep in as late as you want in the privacy of your own bed and in your own bedroom. You own your own bed to do as you please. You miss these luxuries when traveling, or visiting other people, and have to conform to different rules. Oh yeah did I mention you also have your own bathroom at home. What a treat it is to not share any of your most private space with anyone if your single. So always think twice when you want to leave because nine out of ten times you will be back in your comfort zone doing what you want to do, and how you want to do it. There’s no place like home.
